Kathy Cudlin is a fine arts photographer who lives in Lynchburg. She served as Art Director and agency photographer for Lovern Advertising for over twenty years. She is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Duke University and holds degrees in commercial art and photography from CVCC. She has been included in local, regional, and national shows over the years and has won many awards. She considers herself a street photographer and a formalist who enjoys venturing out into the large, visually chaotic world and selecting elements that cohere into a pleasing or compelling composition.

Recently, Covid isolation caused her to look inward for inspiration, and she begun to combine images—many of her own immediate surroundings—into diptychs, triptychs, and accordion albums, often with text.
