Steven Francis Fine Art, located in Lynchburg, Virginia, is a dynamic and growing fine art gallery comprised of two main galleries, with a growing list of satellite and collaborative spaces.
All locations regularly present quality contemporary art from an array of diverse artists - local, national, and international. SFFA prioritizes work made from a variety of media and a range of subjects.
Our gallery strives to promote interaction and connection between artists, viewers, and the work. We feel strongly about helping our clients find artwork that they will value for a lifetime.

Steven Francis Coates studied photo communications at California State University, Fullerton, and did post-graduate work in fine art at James Madison University. His photographic art spans the globe, with images from New York City to Paris to Istanbul. Known originally for his black and white photos, he transitioned to color work with his exhibitions from India and Cuba. He is a street-style photographer who often strives for rhythm in crowded street images, but also appreciates and captures harmony and tranquility. Steven has featured in numerous solo exhibitions, including the Academy Center of the Arts, the Chrysler Museum, and the Virginia Museum of Fine Art. In addition, he has taught as an adjunct professor at Lynchburg College and has led several study abroad trips. As co-owner of Montana Plains Bakery for many years and an avid art collector, Steven has opened Steven Francis Fine Art, with galleries located in Wyndhurst and downtown Lynchburg.
SFFA Tradewynd Gallery is open Wednesday to Saturday each week, from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
You can find us on the second floor of the Montana Plains Bakery building in Wyndhurst, at 102b Tradewynd Drive. The well-marked entrance to the SFFA gallery is easily accessed from the parking lot.
SFFA Main Street Gallery is open Wednesday to Friday, from 11:30am to 5:30pm, and Saturdays,
from 9am-5pm. Find us on the corner of Twelfth and Main, and across from the Market,
at 1200 Main Street in downtown Lynchburg.
In addition, gallery owner Steven Francis Coates is happy to discuss the work and
assist both experienced and novice collectors.
