Max Mitchell holds a BFA from the University of Pennsylvania and a Certificate of Painting from the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art. He is currently the Preparator & Art Handler/Technician for the Taubman Museum of Art in Roanoke, Virginia. He has had a number of group and solo exhibitions including solo shows at Ferrum College and Roanoke College and has won awards including 2009 Best in Show at the Bath County Juried Art Show; 2010 Best in Show, Roanoke College Annual Juried Show; and 2013 Best Figure Painting at Bath County.
