Lincoln Perry attended Columbia University and received his MFA from Queens College. Perry has taught at the University of Arkansas, Queens College, and the University of New Hampshire. Since 2001, he has been Distinguished Visiting Artist at the University of Virginia. In addition to his work as an easel painter, Perry’s large-scale mural works include commissions at Cabell Hall at the University of Virginia, the Met Life build- ing in St. Louis, Missouri, and the Federal Court House in Tallahassee, Florida. Perry’s work can also be seen in the PBS documentary, “The Murals of Lincoln Perry.” Perry lives with his wife, novelist and short story writer Ann Beattie, in Staunton, Virginia.
